A bit of history...

Abraham-Louis Perrelet

Since its origins, Maison Perrelet has never ceased to innovate in the field of watchmaking. This daring is rooted in its DNA as well as in its values. Inventor of the automatic watch nearly 250 years ago, Abraham-Louis Perrelet has never ceased to magnify his pioneering and avant-garde spirit and his mastery in the development of his timepieces. Key values, such as technical rigor and extreme precision, which serve a vision: perpetuating the watchmaking heritage of the legendary founder of the brand, Abraham-Louis Perrelet and his successors.


Abraham-Louis Perrelet began in the 1770s to develop a system which, from an initial impulse, would continue to function indefinitely. In 1777, he made his totally revolutionary invention a reality: the automatic winding movement was born.

To date, no one has found a better way to bring mechanical calibres to life, and his invention continues to mark watchmaking history.


Louis-Frédéric Perrelet

Heir to the watchmaking genius of his grandfather, Louis-Frédéric Perrelet was born in 1781. Demonstrating a predisposition for mechanics and mathematics, he was trained by his grandfather before settling in Paris to study in the Breguet workshops. Thanks to his talents, he quickly distinguished himself as an independent watchmaker. His growing interests in astronomy, physics and the sciences lead Louis-Frédéric Perrelet to design so-called "scholarly" clocks. An astronomical clock designed in 1815 and presented at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1823 consecrates him as a clockmaker-mechanic to three kings of France ...

1995 - The Double Rotor

Thus began the legend which was then reborn in 1995 with the patented invention of the Double Rotor! The new Perrelet house develops, perfects and produces the first so-called "double rotor" automatic caliber. A unique system of its kind, which links the winding mass of the automatic system to a second rotor placed on the dial side.


2009 - The Turbine

Perrelet presents the iconic Turbine model. Inspired by the so-called "double rotor" movement, the mass on the dial side is transformed into a propeller which impresses with its extreme speed of rotation. La Turbine thus opens the door to unique and authentic artistic and watchmaking creations.


2012 - Birth of Caliber P-321

Perrelet took a decisive step on the road to autonomy by adopting and equipping most of its timepieces with the P-321 caliber, the first Manufacture movement entirely designed and produced in its workshops. New horological complications subsequently came to further enrich this caliber base. Perrelet thus acquired total production autonomy, a guarantee of its creative freedom and its watchmaking legitimacy.


2019 - Birth of the in-house Caliber P-331

Launched in 2009, the Turbine quickly became the iconic model and the signature of the brand. The new "Turbine" watches are equipped with a new manufacture caliber P331, produced in-house. This basic caliber has given rise to various variants, the models of which are presented below, including the COSC-certified P331MH, the P361 chronograph, the P381 skeleton or the P401 GMT.

Camo Turbine

For 2020, Perrelet is expanding its collection and welcoming the "Turbine Camo" model as "camouflage", a limited series of only 100 pieces ...

The unique design and the strong personality of the new "Turbine Camo" combine the attractive character of the Turbine, which turns at the slightest movement of the wrist, with military colors. Camouflage refers to a specific coloring or pattern that merges with the surroundings for concealment. Used by many animals as a natural defense mechanism to avoid being spotted by predators, it was adopted by hunters in the early 1800s to blend in with the environment. Subsequently, "military camouflage" was developed to allow soldiers to hide from enemy forces by the mimetic properties of camouflage applied to uniforms, vehicles and equipment.

The new "Turbine Camo" has a round case in black PVD-treated steel, 44 mm in diameter and 13.3 mm thick, with vertical grooves typical of the brand on the sides, a glass Anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a transparent case back, and is water resistant to 5 ATM.
As the ten turbine blades rotate, a sub-dial decorated with military camouflage in shades of light green, olive green, beige and brown is revealed. To ensure optimal readability, the Arabic numerals, indexes and hour and minute hands are coated with Super-LumiNova while the central seconds hand in red adds a touch of bright color.
Finally, the “Turbine Camo” watch comes with a rubber strap with a camouflage pattern mounted with a steel pin buckle with black PVD treatment and adorned with the brand's logo.

EVO turbine
The Swiss manufacture Perrelet is recognized for the original dials of its watches powered by its exclusive double rotor technology. Patented in 1995, the double rotor quickly established itself as the brand's DNA. In 2009, Perrelet launched his iconic model "Turbine" and since then, this hypnotic show continues to impress in its various versions.
The famous “Turbine” collection celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2019. To mark this important date, Perrelet presents the “Turbine EVO” with a completely revised design and a new manufacture movement for hours, minutes and central seconds.

The name "TURBINE EVO" perfectly reflects the spirit of this new watch, "EVO" is taken from the word "evolution" and refers to the evolution of this model. The Perrelet "TURBINE EVO" is presented in a new sporty chic case fitted with a redesigned automatic movement. For the first time since the creation of this model ten years ago, all the movements that equip this collection are COSC certified, attesting to increased precision. Finally, the Turbine Evo is also available with an integrated steel bracelet.

Skeleton Turbine
Perrelet took up a new challenge, a fusion of watchmaking know-how and design to present a unique model that combines a ten-bladed titanium turbine with a skeleton movement. The brand's cutting-edge technology is reflected in the details of the movement's openings which reveal and highlight the beauty and perfection of each component.

The skeleton movement is sublimated when the turbine, mounted on the dial, turns freely at full speed. The collection has a 44 mm diameter case available in 3 versions, in steel, steel with black PVD or black PVD steel with solid 18-carat rose gold bezel.

Macau & Poker Turbines
Perrelet's iconic Turbine collection welcomes the new Macau Turbine. Released in a limited edition of 100 copies, this model transports its owner to the world of card games. The beauty of the dial lies in the 12 rotating blades of the black turbine which, when the wrist is in motion, reveals a black screen-printed sub-dial with a mosaic of the four symbols from a deck of cards. Each Symbol is then highlighted in black or red, alternating with luminous Arabic numerals which indicate the time. For casino enthusiasts, the Macau Turbine is the ideal solution!

In the "Poker" Turbine, Perrelet uses cards to invite us to play poker according to his own rules. The deck of cards arranged on the dial is revealed by the movement of the 12-blade turbine. As the latter spins constantly due to the movement of the wrist, it is difficult to see the "deal" making the part enigmatic.

Turbine Chronograph
For the first time since its launch in 2009, the Turbine collection, Perrelet's icon, is equipped with a horological complication: a chronograph which offers a new demonstration of the brand's technical expertise.

This function is visible on the dial of the Turbine Chrono model without compromising the unique identity of the collection. Chronograph measurements are provided by a central seconds hand and a particularly innovative 60-minute counter. A graduated movable disc which rotates in the center of a fixed ring marked with a red arrow which bears the inscription "min" and which points to the recorded times. The Turbine Chrono collection also has a calendar at 6 o'clock, visible as soon as the Turbine starts to move. Three limited dials are available.

Turbine Regular
Inspired by the world of aeronautics, Perrelet engineers and designers have created a new adaptation of the "Double Rotor". The double rotor is transformed for the occasion into a 12-blade aluminum turbine, covers the entire dial and slides under an internal flange. On the surface of the dial, patterns accentuate the optical effect and make the impact of this model all the more impressive. Disconnected from the oscillating mass of the movement, the turbine rotates at full speed to create spectacular visual effects. The turbine, a pioneering technical device and emblematic of the brand, is housed in a concave-shaped box 44 mm in diameter. The crown, specially machined and integrated into the case, respects perfect lines.
The Turbine Regular has red, blue, full back or white sub-dials with a white bezel.
The Regular Turbines are equipped with caliber P331MH, Manufacture Movement, COCS certified.

GMT turbine
Traveling around the world with his Turbine is the new dream evoked by Perrelet with his Turbine GMT collection. In line with the movements of the wrist, the ten-bladed turbine rotating freely above the dial reveals a world map engraved with a Côtes de Genève decoration. Equipped with a 24-hour dual time zone function, the Turbine GMT collection once again combines a horological complication with its iconic turbine concept and once again proves that its flagship collection can be extended to new universes.

Turbine Tourbillon
Turbillon for Tur (bine) and (tour) billon: a world premiere that caused a sensation with nobility. The Turbillon is sublimated by a refined turbine, cut in noble Sapphire. The transparent blades create a discreet animation and unexpectedly unveil the brand new tourbillon from the Perrelet house. The prestigious mechanism incorporates an innovative escapement, with an oxidized silicon wheel and anchor, at the heart of an exclusive automatic movement developed in the Vallée de Joux sister unit, MHVJ, the Manufacture Horlogère de la Vallée de Joux.

First Class Turbine
A new version of the brand's great classic, the First Class model pays homage to traditional timepieces with a contemporary touch. With the First Class Double Rotor Skeleton watch, Perrelet combines the watchmaking traditions embodied in its innovative Double Rotor created 20 years ago and its expertise in the art of working on skeleton dials. Entirely designed and manufactured by Perrelet, these models benefit from the patented "Double Rotor" technology with a double oscillating weight which allows the automatic mechanism to accumulate the energy of the two rotors.

Thanks to this ingenious association, the openwork dial allows the eye to wander through the complex depths of the mechanism, rocked by the natural rhythm of the second rotor. Perrelet is a full-fledged Manufacture which has chosen to equip this model with caliber P-481, an automatic movement with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations with a power reserve of 42 hours.

The “First Class Double Rotor Black Edition” is a limited edition of 240 pieces presented in a steel case 42.5 mm in diameter and treated - for the first time in this range - with black PVD.

Other common characteristics:

Diamond Flower Turbine
Perrelet enriches its Diamond Flower feminine line with a new model called Diamond Flower Amytis: a collection designed "by women for women" and which combines a unique technique with brilliant know-how. This name evoking ancient history is inspired by the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. This collection is equipped with the Double Rotor P-181-H caliber, patented by Perrelet and entirely manufactured in its manufacture.

In this collection, the rotor on the dial side represents flower petals oscillating to the rhythm of the movements of the wrist. The mother-of-pearl, diamond, black, white or anthracite dials offer a palette of colors and contrasts that will elegantly accompany each woman in her daily life. A contemporary aesthetic approach and innovative technology give birth to a new model!


Guided by creativity and the desire to innovate in watchmaking, Perrelet's technical team gave birth to the new LAB PERIPHERAL DUAL TIME BIG DATE model. It has useful functions such as the second time zone with day-night indicator, very popular with globetrotters, and a large date window.


This timepiece remains faithful to the values and DNA of the brand with its signature "Luxury in movement". While the current collections present the classic Double Rotor or the Turbine, this latest creation offers a more discreet and refined animation on the dial and welcomes the new "casual-chic" style of the Perrelet collections.


The LAB PERIPHERAL DUAL TIME BIG DATE model comes in the form of a 42 mm x 42 mm stainless steel cushion case, waterproof to 5 ATM. Its soft and smooth lines, its brushed and polished lugs, the decoration of rectangles in relief on the sides of the case and the polished octagonal bezel with a satin profile, give this model a strong and distinctive character.


Although it is generally visible through the caseback, the LAB PERIPHERAL DUAL TIME BIG DATE watch allows amateurs to observe the movement of the oscillating weight while reading the time on the dial side. This technical innovation was made possible by the new generation of the self-winding P-421 Manufacture caliber.

Weekend collection

The Perrelet Weekend collection offers watches with a classic and timeless design at highly studied prices ranging from less than € 1,200 to € 1,900 including tax. These models are fitted with automatic movements from the Soprod manufacture, Perrelet's sister company, available with 3-hand date movements, GMT or visible balance, on leather strap and ardillon buckle or steel bracelet.
