A watch must be seen, touched, looked at, "studied" with care and put on the wrist! So you will know if it is right for you or not. Some brands are rare on the market, even impossible to find. That is why, as specialists in truly rare brands and watches, we offer you a special exhibition every year where you only find unusual watches.
The concept of this exhibition is to offer in Paris a presentation of independent watch brands in order to compensate for the disappearance of the general public fairs which had taken place in Paris until 2015. The last “Salon Belles Montres”, after being drowned in the “Salon de l'Homme”, had not achieved the expected commercial success. The second Parisian show "Les Montres", organized by the brothers Jean and Arnaud Lassaussois, owners of the Parisian shops "Les Montres", which only presented well-known institutional brands distributed among others by the shops of the same name, disappeared in 2016.
Every autumn since 2016, the Fréret-Roy boutique has organized an original exhibition of independent watch brands, in the form of a "cabinet of curiosities" where certain brands come to exhibit during the exhibition which generally begins in mid-November and ends mid or end of February of the following year. Most decide to stay throughout the year and become permanent partners of the store.
Each of these "permanent" partner brands has its own page on our site, you will find them under their name. Other brands are not exhibited full time, but are available to order in our shop, such as Sartory Billard, or Maison Schwarz Etienne.
The exhibition "Le OFF 5 des Indépendants" will begin at the end of November 2020, or more precisely when the government has lifted the new covid19 containment measures. Regular information will be published here ...

On the other hand, because of "covid 19", the traditional cocktails to which we had invited the Press and our clients and visitors in the past, will not be able to stand in the current context. Also, to replace these convivial cocktails, we wish to offer brands and customers who so desire the opportunity to meet in order to discover in person the watches and novelties of the said brands, within the framework of events called “Rendez-vous avec a Trademark "... subject to the freedom of movement being restored to us.For these “Rendezvous with a brand”, a precise schedule will be established and confirmed to everyone, with well-defined dates and time slots fixed in advance, in order to avoid any “overstaffing” in the store. I'm sorry to impose such complications ... but we have little choice.

The prestigious Swiss watchmaking house PERRELET continues to amaze with the countless interpretations of its Turbine model. Launched in 2009, the Turbine quickly became the iconic model and signature of the brand. For 2020, Perrelet is expanding its collection and welcoming the “Turbine Camo” model, a limited series of only 100 pieces.

The Swiss manufacture Perrelet is recognized for the original dials of its watches powered by its exclusive double rotor technology. "Leopard 24"
A watch with a true submariners’ DNA.
Limited edition 200 pieces
To produce this 24 hour watch for Russian submariners, Raketa used a metal piece from the Russian submarine “Leopard” (Akula class). The metal was officially given to Raketa by the shipyard that is currently conducting the overhaul and modernisation of the Leopard. This metal comes from an exterior part of the Leopard’s hull.This exceptional watch was developed with the help of Captain Valery Dyakonov who knows this submarine particularly well: he supervised the pre-launch stages of the Leopard, conducted its sea trials and was its first commander until 1996. He now lives in Saint-Petersburg next to Raketa. When presented with the first sample of this watch, he said: “This is the first time in many years that I have touched my Leopard submarine and I will now keep it with me forever!”
Every watch is delivered with a certificate authenticating the origin of the Leopard metal, with the official insignia of the Leopard submarine, with an additional rubber band and a branded spring bar tool to easily change the straps.

Most will hate it. Few will love it. Exactly how the Raketa manufacture want it.
This watch is a collaboration between the Raketa Watch Factory and the State Tretyakov Gallery (Russia’s main museum of national art).
Raketa didn’t try to do a beautiful watch. The brand did a radically abstract watch that doesn’t follow the conventional rules of classic aesthetics. Exactly like the Russian Avant-Garde artist Kazimir Malevitch did in 1915 when he painted the most abstract painting in the world: the Black Square.
When he was asked what was the meaning of his absurd Black Square, Malevitch explained that it symbolises a “Big Zero”: the end of the previous period of artistic evolution and the beginning of a radically new artistic reality. With time, this painting had a tremendous influence on modern art and became one of the most iconic paintings in the world.
Most people will not like this watch. But those who are ready to break-up from traditional classic and step into a new aesthetic reality created from Zero will love it. Exactly like the Black Square of Malevitch.
The handcrafted dial is made in a mosaic of 3 different stones: black jade, white jade and violan. The natural “pattern” of each stone reminds the craquelures that appeared over the years on Malevich’s painting. This makes every watch absolutely unique. The automatic movement is made at the Raketa Watch Factory in Saint-Petersburg. Part of the proceeds will go to the State Tretyakov Gallery.

Speake-Marin joins the Fréret Roy boutique for this OFF5!
One & Two Openworked
This "One & Two Openworked" openwork model is presented exclusively in Paris at Fréret Roy.
Speake-Marin has initiated since 2014 a movement strategy which aims to develop and assemble movements internally within its workshop in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. This new strategy gave birth to the “SMA” collection, which includes openwork movements, closed dials and Haute Horlogerie movements. Initially, Speake-Marin focused its efforts on 3 Hz Haute Horlogerie movements (Minute Repeater and Double Tourbillon). In a second step, Speake-Marin developed 4Hz Hours Minutes Seconds movements, which were presented in the new One & Two design with a open dial with a movement called SMA01. This movement has the particularity of having its small seconds at 1:30.
These models exist in two sizes: 38mm and 42mm, depending on your tastes and your wrist, ladies will also find their mechanical happiness ...

Following the success of the One & Two "Openworked" model presented above, which introduced the new Piccadilly case and the Speake-Marin SMA01 movement, Speake-Marin has launched a new generation of One & Two with a closed dial: the “Academic” model, Caliber SMA03.
